App version and updates

Updating a tablet that is kept offline

An offline tablet will not update itself. Always create an external backup immediately before installing a new version.

1. Create a current .cix-backup and verify that it is stored outside the tablet.
2. Record the current app version from Settings.
3. Install the update using the lab’s approved method.
4. Open CryoIndex and verify several known records after any database migration completes.
