CryoIndex is published under the developer name CryoIndex Labs and is designed as an offline application for Android tablets and Windows PCs. It does not require a CryoIndex account, and we do not receive the inventory stored in the app.
Information stored by the app
Vial records, cell information, storage locations, user names selected by the lab, activity history, liquid-nitrogen fills, settings and lab branding are stored in the application database on the Android tablet or Windows PC selected by the lab. CryoIndex does not upload that database to us.
Backups, imports and exports
Files leave the app only when a user deliberately chooses a destination or sharing action provided by Android or Windows. The lab controls where those files are stored. A cloud-storage provider, email application, network location or removable-storage service selected by the user may process the file under its own privacy terms.
Camera and barcode scanning
On Android, optional camera permission is used to decode vial barcodes. Frames are processed on the device and discarded; CryoIndex does not save or upload camera images. The Windows edition does not offer camera scanning. On both platforms, compatible hardware scanners act as keyboards and send their result directly to the active field.
Diagnostics and analytics
The CryoIndex app contains no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics service, remote telemetry service or crash-reporting SDK. CryoIndex does not transmit a crash report or inventory data to us. Android, Windows, Google Play and Microsoft Store are separate from the app and may collect platform-level diagnostics under their own terms and the device’s settings. On Android, this can include crash, app-not-responding and performance information made available through Android Vitals.
Children’s privacy
CryoIndex is a professional laboratory inventory tool intended for adult users and organizations. It is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This website
This website does not use advertising trackers or set its own analytics cookies. Cloudflare and Hostinger may process ordinary connection information such as IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver, protect and operate the site under their own privacy terms and retention practices.
If you contact a CryoIndex email address or ask for launch updates, the message and reply address are processed through Proton Mail. We retain routine correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, document its resolution, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. An address provided for launch updates is used only for CryoIndex beta and release announcements and is kept until you opt out or we discontinue the list. Do not send inventory backups or spreadsheets containing lab data unless specifically requested.
If you ask to join the Android closed test, the Google account address you provide is entered into Google Play Console so that Google can grant that account access to the test build. The address is disclosed to Google for that purpose and is handled there under Google’s own terms. We keep it on the tester list for the duration of the test and remove it when the test ends, and we retain the email conversation itself as described above so that we can send installation instructions, test updates and the notice that the test is complete. An address given for the closed test is not added to any other list.
How long information remains
The working inventory remains on the selected device until someone deletes application data or uninstalls CryoIndex. Backups and exports remain at their chosen destinations until the lab deletes them. Website security logs and support correspondence are retained according to the purposes described above and the practices of the service handling them.
Deleting data
Uninstalling CryoIndex or clearing its application data removes the working database from that device. Backups and exports remain wherever the lab previously saved them and must be deleted there separately. You may ask us to delete support correspondence; we will do so unless retaining it is reasonably necessary for security, legal or recordkeeping purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when CryoIndex, our service providers or applicable requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised when the policy changes.
