These terms apply to the CryoIndex Android application and the CryoIndex website. CryoIndex is published under the developer name CryoIndex Labs. By using CryoIndex, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or the laboratory or organization that authorized your use.

What CryoIndex provides

CryoIndex helps laboratories record cryogenic cell inventory, physical storage locations, activity history, liquid-nitrogen fills, audits, backups, exports and reports. It is an inventory and recordkeeping tool. It is not a substitute for physical labels, laboratory procedures, training, safety controls or independent verification of a specimen’s identity and location.

No compliance certification

CryoIndex may generate Audit & QA reports and preserve information useful during internal review. The app and its reports do not certify compliance with GLP, GMP, ISO, FDA, institutional or other regulatory requirements. Whether a laboratory’s records and procedures satisfy a particular standard depends on its own configuration, entries, controls and review.

Your records and responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information entered into CryoIndex, deciding who may use the tablet, checking records against physical inventory when appropriate and maintaining current backups outside the tablet. Before relying on an import, export, restore or report, review its preview and result. Do not use CryoIndex as the sole source of information for an emergency, a life-safety decision, diagnosis, treatment or patient care.

Local data and backups

The working database is stored on the device. CryoIndex does not operate a cloud inventory service and cannot recover a database that was never backed up. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, losing the tablet or replacing it without a usable backup may permanently remove the working inventory. You control the destinations, access and retention of files you export or back up.

Permission to use the software

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use CryoIndex for lawful internal laboratory or organizational work, subject to these terms and the rules of the store through which you obtained it. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the app except where applicable law expressly allows it.

Free and Pro features

The free app provides the functions described in its current store listing. An optional one-time CryoIndex Pro purchase unlocks the paid functions described at the time of purchase. The price and purchase terms shown by Google Play control the transaction. Google Play handles payment, receipts and eligible refund requests under its policies. Restoring a purchase may require the same store account and an internet connection.

Updates and compatibility

We may correct, improve, add or remove features in later releases. Device software, store rules and third-party components may also change. Keep a current backup before installing an update or moving to another tablet. We do not promise that every device, operating-system version, scanner, printer, storage provider or file produced by another program will remain compatible indefinitely.

Warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CryoIndex is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will identify every incorrect record, damaged file, mislabeled vial or difference between the database and physical inventory. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of specimens, lost research time, lost data, loss of revenue or the cost of reconstructing records arising from use of or inability to use CryoIndex. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when CryoIndex, its purchasing model or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when the corresponding app change is released.
