Scanning does nothing at all

A HID scanner behaves like a keyboard. It must be paired, a barcode field must have focus, and the scanner must send Enter when the scan is complete.

1. Open a plain text or notes app and scan. If no text appears, reconnect the scanner in the device’s Bluetooth settings or check its USB connection.
2. If text appears without moving to a new line, configure a carriage-return or Enter suffix.
3. Return to CryoIndex and tap inside the barcode field before scanning.
