App version and updates

Updating a device that is kept offline

An offline Android tablet or Windows PC will not update itself. Always create an external backup immediately before installing a new version.

1. Create a current .cix-backup and verify that it is stored outside the working device.
2. Record the current app version from Settings.
3. Install the update using the lab’s approved method.
4. Open CryoIndex and verify several known records after any database migration completes.
