Cell lineage

Every vial says its origin was never recorded

Vials stored before lineage was added, and vials imported without Parent barcode, begin as Not recorded. CryoIndex does not relabel them as original stock because nobody was asked that question when they were stored.

1. Start with records whose origin the lab can verify from a source worksheet, notebook, or the person who performed the freeze-down.
2. Search for the vial and open its details.
3. Choose Correct its record, then select Another vial, New to the lab, or Not recorded under Origin.
4. When choosing Another vial, identify the exact parent record rather than relying only on a reused printed barcode.
5. Record who made the correction and why. CryoIndex keeps the former value and the correction in the vial’s history.
