Something is contaminated — what else is affected?

Open the affected vial and choose Trace lineage. CryoIndex shows where it came from, the other vials recorded from the same parent, and every descendant below it, including how many remain in storage.

1. Search for the affected vial by barcode, cell line, box and position, or another identifying field, then open its details.
2. Choose Trace lineage and read Where it came from to follow the ancestor chain toward the original or unrecorded root.
3. Open Related from the same parent to identify sibling vials from the same freeze-down and see which remain in storage.
4. Open Descendants to review everything recorded below the affected vial across later generations.
5. Open each relevant vial to review who stored or removed it, its biological and lab-named fields, and its activity history before following the lab’s containment procedure.
