Make the digital layout match physical storage—not the other way around.

CryoIndex 1.0 maintains one dewar. Change its layout only after comparing the application with the physical vessel and creating a verified external backup.

Keep structural changes deliberate.

  1. Finish active store, move, remove, import and audit workflows.
  2. Create and verify an external backup outside the working device.
  3. Compare the current cane, box and grid dimensions with the physical hardware.
  4. Move any occupied vial that would fall outside a smaller proposed layout.
  5. Read every refusal. CryoIndex leaves the existing layout unchanged when occupied or unresolved records make a change unsafe.
  6. Use the optional Admin PIN when the lab wants high-impact changes to require deliberate approval.
  7. After an accepted change, search representative edge positions and create another external backup.

Current product boundary

Adding or retiring independent dewars is not available in CryoIndex 1.0. Do not use a layout change as a substitute for physically moving and recording a vial.
